Bundles for Babies

If you are an Air Force active duty member or spouse of an active duty member who is expecting a baby or is a new mother, you are encouraged to contact us to sign up for a "Bundles for Babies" class and, upon completion of the class, receive a free "bundle" that the Air Force Aid Society purchased from the Gerber Company. This gift from the AFAS consists of a tote bag, receiving blanket, washcloths, hooded towels, sleepers, onesies and more!

Make your Money Matter

Make Your Money Matter is a mandatory briefing held for E4s and below who are
newly stationed at Beale. This refresher training covers many financial
topics to help the newly arrived member to be financial successful. Key
concepts that are covered include financial goal setting, understanding
federal and state tax allowances, savings and investment principles,
insurance, car buying, credit/debt management and consumer information to
include fraudulent business practices.

This class is scheduled by MPE.


Personal Finance for Supervisors

Personal Finances for Supervisors is a mandatory briefing held for First Duty
station officers. The briefing helps the new supervisor become acquainted
with the services and classes the Airman and Family Readiness Center provides
to all Beale members. Financial education is provided in the area of
financial goal setting, understanding federal and state tax allowances,
savings and investment principles, insurance, car buying, credit/debt
management and consumer information to include fraudulent business practices.

This class is scheduled by MPE.


Deployment Wingman Training

Learn to be an outstanding wingman to a Beale team member on their return from deployment. The hour long briefing is held monthly and starts at 0800 hours.

Pre-Deployment Briefing

If you are deploying or going TDY for more than 30 days all Air Force personnel must attend this mandatory (IAW AFI 10-403, 1.6.2.2) briefing. Understanding the normal emotional reactions to deployment and family separation is crucial to successful coping. Learn about the readiness programs available at the A&FRC. Our briefing is held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1300 hours. If you cannot attend one of those briefings, please call to schedule a one on one briefing. Family members are encouraged to attend!

Overseas PCS Briefing

If you are going overseas or have a remote assignment, you should plan to attend this briefing. We will provide you with information on preparing for your overseas tour; ways to stay in touch with friends and family; sign any checklists you may have; and be sure that your vMPF out-processing checklists are updated . Registration is required. Please let us know where you’re going so we can have information about the area available for you. Family members are encouraged to attend! The briefing will be held on the 4th Wednesday of each month.

Reintegration

This briefing is mandatory (IAW AFI 10-403) within 7 days return from a deployment longer than 30 days or to a combat zone. Briefers from the A&FRC, Chapel and Mental Health will speak on topics such as your deployment experience, stress, signs and symptoms of PTSD and more. The briefings are held at 1000 hours every Tuesday and Thursday at the Valley Chapel on main base.

Key Spouse Training

Key Spouses are a peer-to-peer support system. They understand the difficulties and rewards of military life and "know what it is like." They have extensive knowledge of unit, community programs, and organizations plus the resources to get the answers to your questions.

The Key Spouse program is always looking for energetic spouses that would like to volunteer with this program. The Airman & Family Readiness Center provides initial Key Spouse Training (in 3 separate sessions) and ongoing advanced training.

Pre-Separation Briefing

All military members will receive pre-separation counseling no later than 90 days prior to your separation or retirement. This is congressionally mandated and therefore a mandatory briefing. It is suggested to complete it 12 months prior to separating or 24 months before retiring from the military. During this briefing you will be able to register for the Transition Assistance Workshop (TAP).

Pre-Separation Briefings are held every Wednesday at 0900 and last until 1030 hours. Registration is required. Please call 634-2863 to register.


Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Workshop

Excellent information for anyone leaving the military. This class is for separatees as well as retirees. Get information and training on your job search, start or polish your resume writing, and practice interviewing skills prior to leaving the military. Receive benefits information straight from a VA representative. This is a program you need to think about attending about 2 years before retirement or 1 year prior to separation. TAP is also a good refresher course for those who are a few months/weeks from getting out. Attendance at a Pre-Separation Briefing is a prerequisite to registering for any TAP Workshop. Plan ahead! Classes fill quickly. This workshop is not required for separation or retirement.

Effective Job Search Strategies Workshop

Need a job? Struggling to write your resume? Feeling discouraged by what you hear on the TV news? Not sure what you really want to do or what it takes to get your dream job? Join us at the workshop to network with other job seekers and to discuss with our employment team the strategies, resources, and training options to help you find the job you need or career you've always dreamed about. Happy Landings

Have you recently arrived at Beale? Happy Landings is a welcome and orientation program for spouses of military members who have recently become members of Team Beale. We have a variety of folks from around the base and community to welcome you to your new home and provide information about the services and programs available. The program will run from 0900 to 1400 hours. Lunch and child care will be provided.

Sponsorship Training

Sponsorship training is mandatory for anyone who has not been trained on the ACC Sponsorship program and anyone who has not been a sponsor within the past year.
