Updated: October 20, 2008
About Our Program In this section
The goal of the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) is to equip separating and retiring military and civilian personnel and their families with the skills and knowledge necessary for a smooth, successful transition into the private sector.

The emphasis of the program is on preparation rather than job placement. The program is co-sponsored by Department of Defense, Department of Labor, and Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
